Which Drupal Version?

Kiam's picture

Drupal has been growing up faster, in the last year; starting from January 2007 three different main versions have been built, each new version taking new advanced features that took Drupal to a forward step.

Drupal became more and more rich in functionality, thanks also to the authors of third party modules who have been able to implement in Drupal advanced features which allow it to be the CMS suited for many situations. Without to forget the others, I would remember CCK, and Views which have taken the creation of content on Drupal-powered web sites to a higher level.

Have people been able to keep the pace with the new releases?
Considering the programmers, in some cases they have not been able to do it; there are many modules which are ported to Drupal 6, i.e., but still use programming patterns not adapted to the new version with the consequence that they don't use the improvement of performance taken from the latest versions.
Considering the end users who simply use Drupal for their own web sites, not all of them is passed to Drupal 6, and many of them still use Drupal 4.7. What is the exact percentage? Vote to help with this polling.
